Strawberry Basil Margarita 🍓🌱

Ingredients:

2oz Tequila

1oz Lime Juice

1oz Simple Syrup

.5oz Triple Sec

.75 oz Strawberry Purée (optional)

2 strawberries (stems trimmed and cut in quarters)

1 Basil Leave

Instructions:

  1. Put strawberries, 1 sprig of basil, the lime juice and the simple syrup in a cocktail shaker (can use mason jar, if you don’t have a cocktail shaker).
  2. Muddle (this means smoosh) the strawberries and the basil until they are broken up well. (If you don’t have an official muddler, the back of a fork will do just fine)
  3. Add ice, add Tequila & shake well (10/15 seconds)
  4. Pour into a cup (you may also strain over ice).
  5. Garnish with a strawberry & basil leave or lime.
