What exactly is included in a travel nursing contract? 🧐 Which terms are negotiable? What happens if you cancel? Or if the facility cancels? 🤯
Understanding a travel contract is both critical and challenging – whether you're brand new to travel or a few contracts in. It can be hard to determine what to look for when you're about to sign a travel contract, an extension, or if faced with a cancellation. To make sense of these often confusing contracts and details, we've recruited two travel nursing pros, Andrea Sommer RN & Courtney Jones RN, to break down what you should be asking for in your travel nursing contract, and how to navigate contract changes and cancellations. ✨
All nurses are invited to this event, just make sure you RSVP!
Courtney is a Philadelphia native who stumbled upon nursing as a career option while touring colleges looking to pursue her dream of playing Division 1 collegiate squash. She works in a staff position as an inpatient adult Oncology Nurse and previously worked at Trusted helping to build the Nurse Advocate team! Living with Type One Diabetes for the past 25 years has empowered Courtney to not let the daily challenge of keeping her blood sugars in range stop her from accomplishing her goals. You can find her at one of her many happy places: a yoga studio, on bike paths, hiking trails, concert dance floors, and in her kitchen trying out a new recipe!

Hi, I’m Andrea! An ICU travel nurse who is currently on contract in downtown Chicago. I’m originally from Wisconsin but have been traveling for the past 4 years. I enjoy spending time with my nephew, traveling, music festivals, and walking along lakeshore drive. I love adrenaline- I’ve jumped out of a plane (twice) and swan with sharks in Hawaii!
