As your fellow nurses, we don’t want you to just get that first travel assignment, we want you to absolutely THRIVE while you are there. ✨ So what makes a good travel nurse? 🤔 Join travel nursing pros Kailin Haugh RN & Jeri Ford RN as they break down what it takes to be successful, on and off shift, as a travel nurse.
They will share how you can make your new coworkers and unit love you, make new friends, and how to tackle your days off. And most importantly, the mindset you need to grow and flourish in this new environment. Travel nursing isn’t always easy, but you will leave this event with an arsenal of information to help you thrive no matter what is thrown your way. 🌟
All nurses are invited to this event, just make sure you RSVP!
I am a Pediatric travel nurse and I got into travel nursing to go around to all the top Children's Hospitals, learn from them, see why they are the top, and to become the most well-rounded nurse I can be! I decided I was going to be a nurse when I was 13 years old- my little sister was born very prematurely that year and I had no idea how to help her. I decided right then that I was never again going to be in a situation where I didn't know how to save your life, and so my nursing career was born. I am also a Certified Personal Trainer with a specialization in Fitness Nutrition (CPT and FNS) and my goal is to bring Fitness TO healthcare. Nursing is statistically the most trusted profession, but we are also the most likely to be overweight due to stress, lack of sleep, and lack of time to care for ourselves. When you think about it nursing and fitness go hand in hand, not to mention working out is a major stress reliever, and my dream is to merge both passions to bring fitness and healthy habits to all HCP. :) With my credentials, I am currently creating workout programs and will progress into one on one coaching as well as expand to group hospital classes and education (COVID permitting).I like to dance and sing for fun! I was a competitive hip hop dancer for 10 years and was in choir from first grade through college. Performing is something I LOVE to do.My base specialty is step down PICU at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where I spent my first 3 years as a nurse! Chicago is my hometown, and since leaving for travel nursing I accept assignments on all different types of units such as step-down ICUs, Neurology, TCUs, Med-Surg, Peri-Anesthesia, and so forth! I love a high acuity/critical care/emergency setting the most, and eventually I will make my way into Flight Nursing.
